When I first started down the photography rabbit hole, I encountered in a thousand different places the message “you will learn to see differently”….yeah, OK, righto. Sounded like a bunch of touchy feely stuff to me…..until…..
On a recent trip to Hawaii, I encountered some odd signs posted around. As I was reflecting on questions like “why would someone have to post this message?” and “who signed off on the words for this sign?”, I realized that only since I’ve been photographing, have I really noticed things like strange signs, must less think twice about the circumstances that warranted them.
When I got back and looked in my files, I have taken a ton of photos of these types of signs (some we’ve even posted here). My hope is to continue developing my sight muscles, especially as it relates to gesture and moment.
