Photographing Wahweep Lookout in Page, AZ

Besides the ever popular slot canyons in Page, there are a couple other subjects to photograph after you have finished your slot canyon tours (see last weeks blog about the Page slot canyons).  Here is one of our favorites:

This spot may be a bit to “touristy” for serious photographers, however a bit of weather turns this location from a park and point, to a serious southwest canvas.  It only takes a few minutes and it is one of the few locations with an elevated 180 degree view of Lake Powell.

Mary and I both used our telephotos, here.  100-400 mm gave us plenty of range for the far off subjects.  We also cropped a few of these images into panoramas.  See our blog on how to “fix” your photo by making it a panorama.
