This is our first time to Crater Lake and it is stunning. The blue color of the lake is memorable. Unfortunately, we also have smoke filled skies from the western wild fires. The smoke does make for some interesting color.

This is sunset on Monday at 7:46 PM. Notice the light beams hitting wizard island.

This morning was even more smokey than last night.

But like all good photographers, we were up anyway and waited for something to happen.

Given the smoke, the light never really popped, but we got another red sky.
