Mary and I have been to the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada three times. It is easy to get to as it is only an hour north of Las Vegas. It is an easy and fun way to get back to nature while you are in glitzy Las Vegas. Here is what you might see.
We have another blog post that has some of the more familiar and obvious locations to photograph. On this trip we were looking for one particular triple arch that included a mile hike without a GPS (bad idea). Though we never found the arch, we found a few other subjects to photograph. We will get it next time (with my GPS)
There are many arches in this park. Some are easy to find and well mapped and some are tucked away.
