Mary and I took ten named trips last year. Instead of ranking my favorite photos from last year, I am going to just present them chronologically from our trips. Between Mary and I, we usually make about 10,000 images in the field a year. We kept about 2,000 and I think about 200 are really fine photographs. Here are my favorite 20 photos from 2014.
In January we went to San Diego and stayed on Coronado Island.
We had an outstanding trip to the Salton Sea and Anza Borrego State Park in March.
We attended a wedding in Chicago and got a chance to walk around the city for a weekend.
We had a long weekend in Palm Springs and Joshua Tree.
We visited our daughters at college in Oklahoma City.
We spent a week chasing fall color in Vermont.
We had a delightful weekend in Virginia WIne Country
We did a Jack Graham photography workshop in the Palouse Region of Washington.
Here are my favorite photos from our trip to Point Reyes and Healdsburg, CA.
We continue to hone our photography skills and our “vision.” We seem to be shooting infrared and color about evenly (mostly because Mary does not like to get up early or stay up late). Next week Mary’s Favorite Photos from 2014.
