Photographing the Mission Nuestra Senora de la Soledad

The mission is named after Mary, Our Lady of Solitude

The Mission Nuestra Senora de la Soledad is named for a special devotion to Mother Mary and her grief on Holy Saturday.  The mission is in the middle of Northern California farm country – literally.  You exit 101 on Arroyo Secco just outside of the small town of Soledad. The small mission site is surrounded by miles and miles of farms.  It is a very simple mission and is quite beautiful in its simplicity.  Here is what we saw.
