Todays log will be short (my dad will be happy). We just got in from a 14 hour day and are trying to locate the keys to our room. So I thought I would jot down a few things, before falling face down into bed.
We had an exciting day. Hawk and Hadda picked us up at 8:00 in the Hawk mini-mobile. Garpur opted for the relaxed life and stayed at their Reykjavík manor house.

We knew it was Hawk barreling down the streets of Reykjavik because the tires were almost as tall as I am.

Once we arrived in the Westfijords, had our fill of excitement. As we drove to the literal end of the road we saw 2 whales, 2 rainbows, a seal, an artic fox, and a flock of swans swimming in the water at sunset. Most of my photos are on my “big” camera so I will leave you with just a few of iPhone photos.

In riveting car conversations, we also received answers to some of burning Icelandic questions like:
Do whales sleep? Yes they do! They sleep approximately 7% of the day. I clock in at closer to 50% which makes me just slightly more active than my grand-kitties
Where did Leif Erickson die? He died in Greenland. So now I know how the Netflix series, Vikings Valhalla, ends.
Who named Iceland and why did they choose that name? This requires a slightly longer explanation so I will leave you on the edge of your seat with this cliffhanger until tomorrow (or you could just google it)
