Abstract reflection in Mylar
Abstract reflection in Mylar

I could play for hours with a single piece of Mylar.  I can combine my love for reflections and abstracts in one medium.  I set up a piece of Mylar to capture an abstract of a vase of flowers, and instead ended up capturing pure abstracts of reflections of far away things in the room.

I ordered 2 piece of Mylar from on on-line art supply store – one silver and one gold.  Its thin and flimsy, so I clipped it to a piece of foam core and propped it up against a wall.  I like to use a macro lens when photographing with Mylar because I can get close and isolate different elements.  You’ll find that you’ll need to move around quite a bit to get just the right angle.
