I love spring flowers.  The small isolated early bloomer to patches of vibrant blossoms.  I typically pull out my macro lens and whittle away hours.  This year I am going to try a different tact, trying to capture many blooms in one frame (I’ll still do the single flower thing, but I am working on my “wide-angle” eyes.

This photo was taken with a 60mm macro lens, but instead of using it to get close, I used it to get wide.  When I looked at the image I liked the chaos of all of the blossoms, in a weird way it reminded my of bad 1960’s bathroom wallpaper.  I decided to get heavy handed with the texturing and used some of Flypapers new pastel textures.

Hello springtime.
