Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blockin’ out the scenery, breakin’ my mind
Do this, don’t do that, can’t you read the sign?

Making photographs of signs may be the best reason ever, to carry a camera.  See why.

Old Signs

Mary and I are always on the hunt for old signs, especially along Route 66 in California.

Ghost Signs

Neon Signs

Processing

We think that you can take a lot more liberty with style and color with signs.  We tend to saturate the color ones a lot and like black and white.  In a pinch, we love to use Snapseed.

As I stated last week, don’t just carry a cell phone camera.  Take your point and shoot where ever you go and you will find great signs everywhere.
